Wayne County’s courts are launching a new online jury management system designed to simplify jury service.  Beginning with jury selections mailed last Friday, prospective jurors for Wayne County Common Pleas Court and Wayne County Municipal Court will receive a postcard directing them to a secure online portal where they can complete questionnaires, receive updates, communicate with jury staff, and check whether they need to report for service—all from a computer or smartphone. Court officials said the change is intended to make jury service more convenient while reducing costs and administrative work.  The new system replaces much of the traditional paper process, although jurors who prefer paper forms may still request them.
