Multiple people have been shot and killed in Rittman, including a police officer. Two other officers and a police K-9 have also been injured. Wayne County Sheriff Tom Ballinger gave an update confirming a Rittman Police officer was killed in the line of duty. Sheriff Ballinger says police were sent out for a call of shots fired around 9:30 Sunday night. He says when police arrived to the scene they immediately started taking fire. Three officers were injured and rushed to the hospital. One of them, a Rittman Police Officer died from him injuries. Two more victims are confirmed dead, as well as the suspect.
