Wooster is getting closer to adding another roundabout, this one at the intersections of Burbank Road, Oldman Road and Winkler Drive. City council recently approved a resolution declaring the necessity and intention to appropriate temporary construction easements and permanent right-of-way acquisitions of three properties adjacent to these intersections by a 4-3 vote after lengthy discussion about it from council members and administration at its meeting last week. Under Ohio law a resolution of necessity is a required preliminary step in the appropriations process. According to the city, the hope is to begin construction on the roundabout sometime next summer or fall.
