Holmes and Wayne counties will receive more than $1.1 million for trail projects through the Ohio Department of Transportation. Holmes County was awarded $398,000 for the Mohican Valley Trail 2A project. The project, scheduled for 2030, calls for construction of 1,700 linear feet of trail along Wally Road near the Lost Horizons Campground. In Wayne County, City of Wooster was awarded $750,000 for the Clear Creek Area Shared Use Paths project. Scheduled for 2031, the project will construct a 1.2-mile shared-use path connecting Venture Boulevard and Silver Road.
