Norwayne Elementary is being recognized as one of the best schools in the entire nation. The U.S. Department of Education this week announced its annual National Blue Ribbon award winners, and Norwayne Elementary made the cut. Nationwide, 356 schools were chosen, with only 14 of those coming from Ohio. In addition to Norwayne Elementary, two other schools in the region were also recognized, Tuslaw Middle School and Reagan Elementary, in Ashland. The National Blue Ribbon designation, which began in 1982, is awarded to schools based on their overall academic performance.
