The Wayne County Humane Society is celebrating the start of a new chapter with the groundbreaking of its long-anticipated surgical building.  The facility will replace an aging trailer at the society’s home in Wooster. The humane society’s executive director says the need for surgeries at the society remains high and the new building will ensure that every animal adopted is able to be spayed or neutered before they leave.  The Humane Society remains the only shelter in Wayne County equipped to spay and neuter animals on-site.
