Officials in Ashland say Amazon will open an 80,000-square-foot distribution center on 22 acres of land in the city’s Industrial Park.  According to Ashland’s mayor, Amazon is paying $20,000 an acre for the 22-acre purchase, which he says is by far the most the city has ever received per acre for industrial park land. Construction on the new facility is expected to begin in the new year.
