The numbers are in, and this year’s Wayne County Heart Walk was a record-breaking event. The annual walk raised almost $245,000, surpassing the event’s previous fundraising record by nearly $30,000. More than 700 walkers took part in this year’s walk, which was held back in September at the Kinney Trail in Wooster. Funds raised from the event go directly to The American Heart Association, and will be used specifically for cardiovascular research, CPR education and blood pressure control.
