Today of course is election day, with polls open statewide until 7:30pm tonight. Wayne County ballots will include races for county commissioner, clerk of courts and state rep for Ohio’s 77th congressional district. Wayne County voters will also decide two countywide issues, a new levy for the Wayne County Park District and a renewal levy for Wayne County Children Services. As for area school districts, Hillsdale Local has two levies on the ballot, while Orrville is looking to approve a renewal levy and Northwestern Local voters will decide whether to repeal a 1.25% income tax. Today’s Wayne County ballots also feature nine township and village issues, as well as six liquor options. There are no local contested races today in Holmes County.
