The Wayne County Health Department announced this week that it received laboratory confirmation of two measles cases involving Wayne County residents. The health department is working closely with the Ohio Department of Health to identify and notify anyone who may have been exposed. Both confirmed cases are likely associated with the previously announced measles exposure at Smokey Lane Stables in Sugarcreek on July 17th. The individuals attended the event and later developed symptoms consistent with measles. An additional suspected case is currently under investigation.
