The Austin-Bailey Health and Wellness Foundation recently approved more than $180,000 worth of grants, which will be distributed among to 13 nonprofit organizations in the region. The foundation supports programs that promote the physical and mental well-being of the people residing in Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. Locally, A Whole Community, in Wooster will receive $14,000 to purchase produce from local farms to support those in need, while the Holmes County Health District will be given $10,000 for the expansion of its child injury program. Austin-Bailey has two grant cycles each year. The deadline for submitting grants for the next cycle is May 26th.
