Legendary College of Wooster Coach Steve Moore is on the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame ballot. Eligible candidates for the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026 were announced December 19th on ESPN. At the time of his retirement in 2020, Moore ranked 12th in NCAA history, regardless of division, with 867 wins. Of Moore’s 39 seasons as a head coach, 33 were spent at Wooster, where he guided the Fighting Scots to 28 appearances in the NCAA Div. III Tournament, three trips to the Final Four and a National Runner Up finish in 2011. Finalists will be announced in February, while the 2026 induction class will be revealed in April.
