In the latest round of their annual bed tax grants, Holmes County commissioners distributed more than $190,000 to 25 different organizations. The grants, which are intended to promote tourism within the county, will fund things such as festivals, museum upkeep and park improvements. The bed tax program was started in 1999. This year’s grant total was slightly less than last year’s amount of just under $210,000.
