The University of Akron Wayne College has received a grant to enhance its nursing program. The grant, awarded through the Wayne County Community Foundation, will support the college’s Nursing Space and Equipment initiative, which provides dedicated lab and classroom space, as well as specialized equipment, for the college’s Associate Degree in Nursing program , which began this past spring. Nearly 100 students are currently completing prerequisites, with 40 new students expected annually starting this fall.
