A transitional housing facility for the homeless is scheduled to open in less than two weeks at the south end of Wooster. According to officials with Homeward Bound of Wooster and Wayne County, the building’s opening target date is set for December 1st. The building, located on Grosjean Road, will feature a severe weather shelter, along with showers, laundry, computer access and midday meals. Looking ahead, Homeward Bound says it will rely on community support for operational costs, which will be sustained through in-kind donations, as well as fundraisers.
