The city of Wooster’s engineering department says the closure of East Liberty Street at the railroad crossing will be extended through the weekend and on into next week. The closure, during both daytime and nighttime hours, will continue through the end of the day on Wednesday the 13th. According to the city, railroad workers say the crossing was in worse condition than originally thought, and so the work is taking a little longer than expected.
