Kister Mill in Shreve will be open to the public for a free tour from 2-4pm on Friday, September 18th as part of the 2026 Ohio Open Doors program.  The event will give visitors an opportunity to explore the historic mill and learn about its role in Wayne County’s industrial and agricultural history.  The Ohio Open Doors program is a statewide initiative held every other year that gives the public access to historic buildings and sites. This year’s events are being held September 10th through the 20th.
