The Holmes County Park District has announced it will host the inaugural Run the Ridge 5K Saturday, Sept. 19 at Legacy Point Park. All proceeds from the event will support the ongoing maintenance and continued development of trails at the park. The race will meander along the trails including a loop up to highest point at the cap of the Stairway to Heaven Trail. Medals will be awarded for age division winners. After the race, everyone is invited to participate in guided nature walks through the park. Legacy Point Park opened last summer and now has more than 6 miles of hiking trails through the property.
