The Wayne County Recorder’s Office recently announced recorded documents are now available online. All document indexes are available through the online system. Deeds and leases can be searched back to 1812. In accordance with Ohio law, Mortgages, releases, powers of attorney and other recorded documents are available from 1980 forward. Residents can access the records by visiting www.ohiorecorders.com, selecting Wayne County and using the online search feature located at the bottom left of the page. The website also offers a free property fraud alert service.
