The Smithville Community Historical Society received a $10,000 Capital Campaign grant in May 2025 from the Beaverson Foundation Community Fund of the Wayne County Community Foundation.
The grant partially funded the installation of a new shaker-shingle roof on the historic Sheller Log Home, located in the SCHS Pioneer Village at 180 E. Main St. in Smithville.
