The city of Wooster will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a series of community events during Independence Day weekend.  Festivities will begin with the America250 concert, presented by Main Street Wooster, from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 3rd at the downtown pavilion, with a military flyover during the concert.  July 4th will begin with the weekly farmers market on the square from 8 am to noon, and as always, the Kinney Fields will feature food, family entertainment and activities beginning at 5 pm.   At 6 pm the Wooster City Fire Department ladder truck and Wooster City Police Department cruiser will be on display, and a Life Flight helicopter will land at Kinney Fields at 7 pm  The fireworks display will begin at 10 pm The celebration will continue on Sunday, July 5th with a community picnic presented by the city of Wooster and hosted by Wooster Rotary. Festivities will begin at 1 pm on the downtown square with a short program that includes a public reading of the Declaration of Independence.
