The Wayne County Public Library is retiring its 2005 bond, which will reduce property taxes for county residents. In 2005, the library board and administrative leadership introduced a 20-year bond issue to voters to raise $6 million for constructing a new Main Library in Wooster. Voters approved the measure in November of 2005 and the new library opened its doors in the summer of 2007. To celebrate the bond’s retirement, the library is hosting an event on April 25th.
