Wooster Community Hospital has opened its new emergency department, a $35 million addition designed to enhance patient experience, boost surge capacity and integrate advanced features like behavioral health suites and direct imaging access. The expansion includes three separate entrances, while the ER has 20 standard rooms, which can be expanded to 30 during times of greater need. A public open house to see the ER will be held this Saturday, from 10am to 2pm.
