An eighth-grader from Dalton Middle School is the winner of this year’s Wayne County Spelling Bee. Paxton Wenger won the annual event, which took place on Tuesday night at Orrville High School. Wenger outlasted 22 other competitors, including runner-up Brooke Santos from Green Middle School. With the win, Wenger advances to the regionals, which will take place in Akron, in early March.
