In Holmes County, close to 20 individuals from the Walnut Creek community recently gathered for an exploratory committee meeting to hash out some of the initial details for the community’s upcoming bicentennial celebration. The main focus of the meeting, which marked the third time the group had gotten together, was on finding a leadership team to spearhead the planning process. Walnut Creek’s 200-year anniversary will take place in 2027.
