Wooster Memorial Park has grown into one of the largest natural park areas in Wayne County. It has 10 trails that encompass 11.6 miles of walking and hiking paths, with levels ranging from easy to difficult. One of the newer trails is Kenwood Acres, which is American Disabilities Act-accessible. It, along with pavilions sitting there, were made possible through nearly $1 million in grants, volunteer labor and community support. While the city owns the land, the day- to-day care is largely in the hands of the Friends of Wooster Memorial Park, a volunteer group formed in 2000.
