The Wayne County Fire-Rescue Association recently held its annual awards banquet.  Three awards were handed out at the ceremony, which took place inside the Connection Conference and Event Center in Wooster.  The organization’s Valor Award went to Wooster Firefighter Jordan Miller for his efforts in saving a woman’s life last November, while the Firefighter of the Year Award was given to Apple Creek Assistant Chief Dave Compston.  The third honor went to Wooster Community Hospital, which received the Special Recognition Award for supporting Wayne County’s Emergency Medical Services.
