The Chippewa Local School District will soon have a new treasurer. Math teacher and robotics coach Ken Gasser was recently named to the position. He will take over June 1 for Ira Hamman, who is retiring in May. Gasser, who has been with the district for nearly 20 years, is currently completing his treasurer’s license. He’ll spend the next year interning to gain hands-on school finance experience.
